The only bug I'll ever love

I was standing in my local sex store the first time Flexi Felix caught my eye. This adorable Fun Factory set of anal beads designed with the face of a ladybug was begging me to take it home. I lusted over this little guy for a while before I actually decided I really needed it. It’s been an incredible addition to my toy collection ever since.

This toy is a brilliant design! Major kudos to whoever thought of this. It’s just so damn cute, how can you not want to put it in your butt? The handle is created as the face of a ladybug with the body of the toy being the beads. I actually thought it was a worm at first, but it Fun Factory says it’s a ladybug. I know some people are freaked out by faces on toys, but I think when it comes to anal toys the less intimidating the better. Anal toys are in a league of their own. Vibrators are becoming more and more accepted by society, anal beads are still a bit misunderstood. I think Flexi Felix could alter that. He looks as safe and comfortable as he really is. Having a toy that is safe, looks fun and gentle was a huge motivator when I purchased Flexi Felix.

This 100% silicone toy is 12 inches long with an insertable length of 10 inches. The handle is large enough that there should be no concern about the toy accidentally sliding into your rectum. The 5 oval beads escalate in size, allowing each individual user to choose how much they are comfortable inserting. The largest bead is 1 inch in diameter. You can insert 1 or 2, or you can insert all of them. The choice is really up to the user. The oval beads make penetration so much easier than the round anal beads I’ve used in the past. The pleasure comes from slowly inserting each bead as well as removing the beads. The preferred moment to remove the beads is directly before orgasm.

Apply a water based lubricant to the toy before insertion. Since the toy is silicone, silicone lubricant should not be used on Felix. Fun Factory actually includes a great water based lube sample with the toy. Their toy lube can be purchased separately. Inserting this toy is extremely easy. The key with any anal toy is just to relax your body. Hold the space above the bead you’re inserting and gently slide it into your ass. I like to pause for a minute to enjoy the sensation and let my body adjust around the bead before I attempt to insert the next one. Your hands will get lube on them and the beads tend to get a little slippery when you’re trying to insert them, but this was never a big problem for me. For additional pleasure try placing a bullet in the eye socket of the ladybug, this will create a vibrating sensation throughout the toy.

This toy comes in 3 colors. I prefer the pink or blue, but if you are concerned about mess you may be more comfortable purchasing it in black. To wash the beads just use antibacterial soap and hot water. It is extremely easy to clean.

I love this little guy! My previous experiences with anal beads had been mediocre at best. This completely rectified my opinion of anal beads. Flexi Felix has quickly won a special place in my heart and ass.

To purchase this wonderful toy, I suggest using a sex store I trust, EdenFantasys.

I did it on porpoise

I am a big fan of using multiple toys per session. I usually have 3 or 4 ready and sometimes I decide I don’t want to use a particular toy and swap it out for another one. There are toys I use to get started and others I use to finish. There are toys for long sessions and ones for quickies. Each toy has its own unique purpose. California Exotic’s The Tickling Dolphin from The Adult Toy Shoppe is a discrete bullet style dolphin intended for clitoral stimulation.

This is not a main course toy. It works decently as an appetizer, but it is best used as a side dish. This is the mash potatoes of sex toys. Unfortunately the mash potatoes lack gravy and salt. It is nice, don’t get me wrong but it is not great.
My little dolphin friend is 3 inches long, with a 1 inch diameter. He nestles himself quite nicely against my clit and vulva. I think the size will work well for most women. His tiny size makes it very easy to bring him just about anywhere with you.

This is a great toy for first time sex toy owners. It is not intimidating at all; he’s a cute little TPR silicone dolphin. He is not as powerful as I desired, but he does have a nice quiet buzz. This toy works best in unison with another toy. I enjoyed it greatly when used with my Mona, by Lelo.

Use a water based lubricant, to prevent damaging the TPR. After using him, wash him with antibacterial soap and warm water. Don’t worry about getting water in the motor. This toy is waterproof and will be perfectly fine while washing him or using him in water.

The Tickling Dolphin uses 4 watch batteries. The product comes with 8. You have no idea how excited this made me. I hate hunting down watch batteries. I curse toys that require them. I think it’s brilliant that they included replacement batteries.

The big question I would ask before buying this product is, “what are you looking for.” Are you looking for something discrete, quiet, waterproof, cute and not overly powerful? If so this toy is a great option. However if you’re more interested in something that is powerful, that will bring you to orgasm every time. You should look at getting a different bullet style vibrator.

I really appreciate the The Adult Toy Shoppe for sending me The Tickling Dolphin to review.

Everything a rabbit vibrator should be

Last week I reviewed the Calla Lily by Cal Exotics; it was the epitome of what a rabbit vibrator should not be. I’m very excited that I get to follow that with that with the Aqua Rabbit by Good Vibrations, a perfect example of everything a rabbit vibrator should be. This is a wonderful toy that does so much more than I ever expected it to.

The most incredible thing about this toy is that it is bendable! Everyone is built completely different and what works for some people does not work for others. A lot of rabbit vibrators don’t work for me, but this one I could easily bend to make it just right. Oh and boy did it feel right! Once inserted, the vibrator maintains its position. It is also easy to alter it while it is inside you, making it fit perfectly for everyone’s body. With an insertable length of 5 ½ inches and 1 ½ inches in diameter, this toy is filling and quite enjoyable.

With dual motors, the vibrator’s clitoral and internal stimulation makes this toy ideal for a quick session or a long one. There is a dial on the bottom of the shaft that allows you to change the speed of the vibrations. I start in the middle and work my way up until I can’t handle it anymore. This toy contains a lot of power. The strong vibrations make it very easy to fall in love with this toy. In the past, I have had some vibrators cause numbing after a long session. I have never had any problem with this toy causing any discomfort.

The Aqua Rabbit is waterproof. The o-ring in the battery compartment will prevent any water damage. So you’re free to play in the bath, shower, hot tub, etc. Since it is waterproof, there is no hassle when washing the product. Just use soap and warm water. Remember this toy is a Phthalate free jelly material and therefore cannot be boiled.

The batteries are kind of a down fall. It requires 3 AAA batteries and it drains them very fast. (I hate when toys require an odd number of batteries!) I recommend getting some rechargeable batteries if you’re going to buy this product. Honestly, this shouldn’t be a deal breaker. The toy is worth buying rechargeable batteries for.

There is nothing discrete about the Aqua Rabbit. Anyone who finds your Aqua Rabbit will know exactly what it is for. It is also pretty loud. The vibrations are steady but the motor sounds like it is going around a track and kind of stalling at the same point every time. I find it distracting and annoying. If I use it under the covers, the weird noise is less noticeable.

Water based lubricants should be used with the Aqua Rabbit. I also enjoy using a clitoral arousal gel, like Tickle Her Pink.

I really enjoyed the Aqua Rabbit. It fits my body perfectly. This lavender colored rabbit is quickly making its way into my regular use toy box. Powerful, bendable, water proof and contains dual motors, this would be a great first toy or an addition to a toy collection.

Thank you Good Vibrations for sending me the Aqua Rabbit!

  • Tantus Hoss by Sammi

  • Hoss is enormous. Humongous. Gigantic. Bigger than big. He makes Randy look like a beginner’s toy (and Randy most definitely is not).

Editor’s Note: This is a seriously impressive review because, among other things, Hoss is a seriously impressive toy. I thought it a fitting EP for an impressive edition both in number (69) and in review count (80).

Calla Lily

I was extremely excited when Eden Fantasys told me I’d be reviewing California Exotic’s Calla Lily. It is waterproof, has a rotating shaft, multiple speeds, with clitoral and G-spot stimulators. This toy sounds awesome but unfortunately it was quite the disappointment.

For starters, this toy confuses me. It’s a rabbit style vibrator, with a G-spot and clitoral stimulator while the shaft of the toy rotates. It sounds awesome, right? When I got the package and read the front and back of the box and it was all like “This toy is going to be awesome in your vagina. Get excited!” It even claims it is “Safe and pure.” Then I read the side of the box which states “This toy is for external use only.” Oh really? You mean this rabbit vibrator shouldn’t be stuck in my vagina? I then read the Instructions which once again say to use it inside me. Well what the hell am I supposed to do with this toy? So then I wondered if maybe this disclaimer was on all Cal Exotic products. Luckily, I still have the packaging for my $16.99 Cal Exotic Butterfly Kiss. There is no “Safe and Pure” label, but it also doesn’t say that it is for external use only. This makes me angry. I understand having to legally protect your company, but make all of the instructions the same please.

So how is it Safe and Pure? The Calla Lily is made of unscented TPR which is Phthalates free, Hypo-allergenic and Latex free. It is squishy and bendable while the material has a little bit of drag to it. The clear blue color is very pretty but unfortunately because it is clear, you can see some of the wiring.

I think this toy was probably great in theory, but failed in execution. It feels nice, it’s a pretty color but it just doesn’t work that well. The toy is 10 inches long, with a 4 inch circumference and an insertable length of 5 ½ inches. It is going to be way too long to stimulate most women’s G-spots and clitoris at the same time. The shaft needed to be 2 inches shorter for me. If you have a really deep G-spot this will probably work better for you than it did for me. Sadly, I could not use the clitoral stimulator at the same time I was stimulating my G-spot. This basically defeats the purpose of the rabbit design completely.

The rotating G-spot stimulator looks awesome when you turn it on. Just looking at it got me all worked up, only to find once it is inserted it has a much harder time moving around. The shaft of this toy rotates in 3 patterns. The tip of the shaft makes a come here motion, alternating semi and alternating full circles. There is a small bullet in the tip of the shaft to add vibration while it is rotating. It doesn’t move very well when it is inside me. I could feel it moving and it is nice, but not enough to rock my world.

I give this toy some credit for the clitoral stimulator. The clitoral bullet also has 3 vibration patterns. It flutters rapidly and is the biggest redeeming quality of this toy. I actually wound up giving up on using it as it is supposed to be used (or not supposed to be used depending on what instructions you follow) and turned it upside down. I placed the clitoral bullet against my clit and put the shaft against my ass.

The vibrator makes a weird dying buzz (it sounds like someone stepped on a robot cat). Obviously this isn’t very discrete… unless you own a robot cat. There are 2 bullets in the Calla Lily which probably contributes to some of the noise. The Calla Lily uses 3 AA batteries. I know this is silly, but it drives me crazy when toys use 3 batteries instead of 2 or 4. Anyway, the battery holder slides out of the bottom of the toy, making it easy to remove the batteries after every use.

The Calla Lily can be cleaned with soap and water or with alcohol as stated in the Instructions. You should wash it before and after every use. It is water proof, so there is no need to worry about destroying it while washing. The instructions state that you should use water based lubricant with the Calla Lily. Silicone lube would also probably be fine. I used a water based lubricant just because I prefer them.

Honestly, I really didn’t like this toy. (If that wasn’t already obvious) I tried really hard to make it work for me, but it just doesn’t. If you’re built like me and have a shallow G-spot, you are probably going to be very disappointed in this toy. I suggest using a toy to find your g-spot, place your finger on how far the toy is inside you and then measure it before you buy this toy. Even if you do have a deep g-spot, I don’t recommend buying the Calla Lily.
